A ten-hour audiobook and it drew me in from the beginning. It might also have to do with the fact that the famous German actor Ulrich Matthes read it very vividly with different voices.
The story is told by a Japanese disciple of the great American architect Frank Lloyd Wright. And he in turn uses the voice of the four important women in Wright’s life. The biggest part takes the battle between Mirjam and Olga. In this epic battle full of betrayal, passion, cowardliness, courage, prejudices, vengeance, and love, you see the genius and ordinary facets of that iconic figure of American history.
