A noel which take 9/11 as background. The best artistic approximation to those events I have read so far. The secret is maybe that the book is not an account of the events but a mere background. it starts with a man running out and away from the Twin Towers. The “remainder” of the book tells us his life and those of his relatives and friends before 9/11 as well as some time afterwards.
The “Falling Man” is a performance artist, who appears in various spots an times. He recreates the position of a man falling down the Twin Towers. The position was frozen in a photo taken that day.
