That is the book he got the Nobel Prize for, Well deserved! The cover description – or any synopsis – cannot prepare you for the content. It might even sound boring. But try to read it, you won’t regret it.
He one sort of cover description: it is a 120 page monologue (does it sound interesting?) of a former Parisien lawyer. He talks to another guy from Paris in a pub in Amsterdam. For five days he tells basically the story of his life.
It is a deep analysis of human behavior- mostly funny, sincere, bitter and cynical.
